You Should No Longer Have to Pay for General Event Tools
Many event management tools, such as Eventbrite, are known for their effective event management systems. These event management platforms generate tools that streamline running the things before and during the event. As someone who goes to events, concerts and classes frequently, these tools definitely helped to improve my experience of attending these events. That’s when I entered the events management sector, and I started to see a growing need for big changes.
Current event management and ticketing platforms are a great way to save time and energy, but because of their various limitations, this is no longer enough. Let’s look at some of these limitations below.
We begin with fees for event ticketing and management. Whilst there are no inherent flaws in the applications provided, the high prices that are charged, which fluctuate as a percentage of your ticket price, leads to the question of finding an alternative vendor who will charge less. This results in an unhealthy race-to-the-bottom which ends up sacrificing quality just for the sake of reducing costs.
Along with the pricing issues, these event management platforms do not provide enough other features to justify their hefty price tag. Even the market leader Eventbrite is limited to only providing pre-event functions, and event management support during the event. They have sub-optimal post-event support and don’t empower organisations with data analytics. This greatly limits organisations in their ability to improve their events and marketing strategies. The limitations in post-event support make event management companies a one-off service for smaller organisations and a replaceable option for larger corporations.
The final problem is the lost opportunity for branding. Most event management platforms in the current market only gives users cookie cutter formats. This means that all event organizers use the same set of management tool and functions as everyone else without much customization. This is a lost opportunity for branding on the part of the event organizer because most event management platforms, organisations cannot integrate their designs and brand image fully onto event management platform. This will limit the control that organizers can have over what their audience sees.
So the moment an organisation attempts to promote their event on these platforms, they end up looking like a carbon copy of hundreds of other events made on the same event management platform. This makes it harder to be seen and stand out to potential event goers on the event management organisation’s website. It also makes it confusing for event goers that sign up for events on the organisation’s own website, as that has a different format compared to the layout of the organisation’s website.
The Future of Event Management
For these reasons I feel that current generation of event management platforms is just not enough. I appreciate how event management companies have made our lives easier, and that they are constantly updating and improving their services, making me want to go back to them whenever I am looking for the an upcoming walkathon or networking event. However, at present I would greatly appreciate a community-focused system that can improve event management experiences as well as build communities.
Fortunately, there is just such platform that incorporates all the features of event management, ticketing and community growth. Juven avoids all the problems I’ve written about above, while providing strengths and features of its own, all with a beautiful and intuitive interface.
