We believe that great event experience is conducive to building engaging communities. Working closely with our partners and clients, we have been hearing about their desire for a streamlined workflow to handle RSVP or ticket reservations with payment.
Our old solution works this way: 1. The guest fills out the registration form. 2. The admin receives the form. For those that are approved, the admin can move the contacts to the event guest list by the Cloning function. 3. On the guest list, send the tickets to the guests.
You might have already guessed the problems with this solution: yes, the process is clumsy and cannot automatically request the guest to make a payment once their RSVP is approved, let alone match the payment with the RSVP.
So we worked painstakingly over the past 2 weeks on a significantly more pleasing and convenient workflow of handling RSVPs. Here is how it works:
Step 1: On the Admin Panel — Events — Event Info page, the admin checks “Requires accept or reject tickets”
Step 2: On the event page, the user clicks “Reserve ticket” and fills out the form. An email confirming the reservation is then sent. At this point, no ticket is approved yet.
Step 3: On the Admin Panel — Events — Guests page, the admin receives the user’s RSVP or registration, and in the column of Approval Status decides to approve or reject it.
Step 4: If it is an approval in Step 3, the user will receive an email with a link for event payment. The user can click the “PAY NOW” button to go to the event page to pay. Upon successful payment, the ticket will be sent by email and shown on the website.
Step 5: On the Admin Panel — Events — Guests page, the admin can confirm the record of successful payment.
